PREDICT project – Workshop #5
Managing Cascading Effects in Crisis Situations - The Way Forward
Objective
The results of this workshop will be used to deliver final recommendations on decision support systems designed to facilitate the management of cascading effects by crisis management professionals.
During this workshop the integrated PREDICT Tool Suite (iPDT) developed during the project will be presented. This system aims to support the mitigation of the consequences of cascading effect thanks to improved situation awareness and training. Current and future challenges in the field of cascading effect management will also be discussed with the participating experts, based on the lessons learnt from the activities of the PREDICT project.
Reimbursement of transportation and accommodation costs
Experts taking part in the workshop are invited by the PREDICT project team. The PREDICT project will reimburse the traveling and accommodation costs up to €400 per participant upon receipt. Due to budgetary constraints we kindly ask you to respect this limit for travel expenses.
About PREDICT
PREDICT is a European research project (FP7) co-funded by the European Commission. Its objective is to provide a comprehensive solution for dealing with cascading effects in multi-sectoral crisis situations covering aspects of critical infrastructures.
The PREDICT project develops methodologies, models and tools that aim at increasing the understanding of cascading effects by crisis management organisations, and to support them in their response capability.
